On December 10th, 2014, International Day of Human Rights, the jury of the Permanent Peoples’ Tribunal releases its ruling for the hearing on Canadian mining in Latin America

In regard of the testimonies and expertises received, the Tribunal makes recommendations to the following entities: – the government of Canada – the Canadian mining industry – the corporations whose acts were specifically examined in the hearing (Barrick Gold, Goldcorp, Excellon Resources, Blackfire Exploration, Tahoe Resources) – the host states – various institutions of the United Nations – civil society
